MHCD’s Evaluation and Research Team is a multidisciplinary team working towards one vision: 

To develop meaningful outcomes systems which help clinical staff, consumers, and their families make more informed decisions based upon real-time, useful data. 

We use clinical outcome data to:

• Evaluate program effectiveness

• Identify relationships between clinical treatment and changes in consumer’s Recovery/Emotional wellness level. 

The Evaluations and Research Team uses findings derived from data analysis and stakeholder’s feedback to:

• Understand what characteristics tend to produce the largest impact on consumer’s improvement

• Suggest improvements in system delivery

The Evaluation and Research team relies on stakeholder’s feedback to incorporate findings into the right context.

We create reports based on our own recovery and resiliency instruments using advanced graphical and statistical models to provide on-line feedback to key stakeholders.

• Stakeholders can analyze on command recovery and resiliency outcomes at different levels of aggregation/disaggregation

 The Evaluation and Research Team has been instrumental in raising the Mental Health Center of Denver to a National Center of Excellence through:

• Development of a strong research presence throughout MHCD

• Consultation/technical advice on research matters to MHCD staff

• Instrument Development (Recovery and Resiliency, Prevention, Consumer/Staff Satisfaction)

• Program evaluation for grant-funded projects

• Help in the development and evaluation of Evidence Based Practices

• Collaborative relations with research institutions

• Consultation in Ethical research matters (submission to Institutional Review Boards)
